So..I find out one of the voice actors whom I've liked lately is like older than my dad by 4 months. I mean--I know Furuya has been around for a while. Guess I just didn't realized how long that was. Haha, now I'm very amused and don't know what exactly to make of it. XD; In other famdom-ish stuff, I've been reading some of La Corda D'oro again since yesterday whenever my internet connection was being lame. Also started watching Nodame Cantabile (the anime) on my birhtday. Haha, I went through half of the first series in one sitting. Go me. It's a very cute, and funny show though. I like it. I started reading some of the manga yesterday too--the style is simple enough to where I can read faster. While it isn't super-prettified and detailed, I love how...organic (they kinda look shaped and real) everyone is drawn. I guess it has its own charms in terms of style♥
In other news, there's only roughly 2 more weeks before Winter Break. I can't wait for this semester to be over with. Midterm season has been so grueling this semester. In fact, I had to muster a lot of effort to study and meet deadlines in 3 of my classes for this week after getting my Ochem exam over with last week. I just felt so exhausted after my exam. Fortunately, I managed to pull through. Don't know my grades yet of course, but I did my work at least. lajfdj--my roommate got to go home on Friday! So lucky! That's like a little more than a week of being at home. I didn't get to leave until Wednesday. Hahaha, I stayed up so late the night before. Went to bed at 8:30-ish in the morning after finishing an extra credit assignment and my paper. I blame the fact that I had finished my Genetics exam that night and then had writer's block afterwards. orz I almost thought of not going to bed, but I was tired. It sucks because I've been needing to do laundry and now I don't get to do it until I get back on Sunday. Haha, oh well.
But yeah--home is great! :D I think I say that every time I come back, but I can't help it. I feel so relaxed...although I brought Ochem back to work on in preparation for the final. That will go somewhere...I hope. Last time I came back, we went to the opening of a new supermarket (shutup--it's exciting for me, okay?). It's a chain they have all over California, so I was excited. They have dimsum there! Which, while not as good as actual dimsum places, was decent. They had sooo many people there. Lots of different Asian countries' products you usually don't expect to find in a Chinese supermarket (India, Philippines, Indonesia, etc). Pretty awesome. I tried dragonfruit for the first time there! I don't know if the fruit wasn't ripe enough, but the taste was really faint. I liked what I could make out though. dljfadf--they had a lion dance come through. It was sooo cool. *___* I wonder if they did firecrackers outside with the ribbon cutting as well. Oh--and my sister and I each got a balloon!♥ Haha, we were probably the oldest people there who asked for one. My sister liked hers so much, she decided to show it off and walk it around the neighborhood. I followed her with mine. XD It's sad though--they started losing air the same day and my sister was creeped out because my red balloon seemed like it was staring at her while it was losing air. Fun day, overall though./fob-ishness
We had dimsum yesterday too with family, and then went to go grocery shopping. Dinner was delicious! I had soup! Haven't had soup in forever. We also got half a turkey this year from a family friend. Good stuff...although I've had turkey a bunch already during the beginning of the week. My friend invited me to her church's Thanksgiving service and celebration, and since I was already doing homework with her, I decided to tag along. First time having the whole Thanksgiving food being passed around the table experience. My dorm was also having a Thanksgiving special all day Mon-Weds (though I only had some on Monday, since I had grown tired of turkey at that point). They had this cranberry orange compote/relish stuff. It was yummy. Fall/Winter meals are usually so heavy though. I think I had taken in too much tryptophan and it affected my studying to some extent in those few days. Good job, self.
My dad bought us a new desktop today. Windows 7 is so much better than Vista..although, I'm going to miss having things in Classic Mode (don't ask me why), since I can't figure out how to get the computer to look like that. So random...whatever. Anyway, that's all for now I guess. Yeah, I might update another time before I leave for school again. I can't believe it's almost over. Oh well, Thanksgiving Break has been good so no complains from me. I'm just happy that I've gotten the opportunity to come back, relax, and recharge.
